Whilst on my way to NEC for CHEM UK Expo on 10 and 11 May, I took the opportunity to visit the new member, SOCOTEC, to find out a little more about what they do.
I had a very interesting laboratory tour with the Technical Compliance Manager, Stacey Otterwill.
What surprised me was the significant investment that has been made in new testing equipment, primarily for testing water samples but also for soil samples. It was interesting to see so much testing being done and the attention being paid to their quality management system and how that is being used as a catalyst for investment in new technology.
