Socotec are hosting a Summer Environmental Conference on 20 June at their head office in Burton on Trent, Staffordshire.

As of 2024, they have arranged a stellar line of speakers discussing contemporary topics including PFAS, landfill remediation, remediation of tar, urban regeneration, invasive species, using environmental DNA-based techniques for environmental monitoring and biodiversity remediation as well as measuring persistent organic pollutants in plastic pellets and the implication on health risks for responders and ecotoxicology.

The speaker line-up includes experts in their fields. It will stimulate lively discussion and extended debate but be a great meeting of minds on contemporary topics.

There are also 2 expert panel sessions:

Session 1 – PFAS, Remediation & everything in between
Hosted by: Paul Nathanial (Director), Land Quality Management

Session 2: Industry Updates
Hosted by: Mark Orr (Executive Director), UK and Ireland Spill Association

The Summer Invitational Event is one to attend if you can.
