Biofuels are part of our journey to net-zero and their use is increasing. However, they are not hydrocarbons whose behaviour when spilt is well understood. Biofuels mix readily with water, they behave differently in separators and some but not all degrade more quickly in soil.
Based on extensive research this session discusses how to respond to a spill of biofuels, their long term effects on soils and sorts fact from fiction!
