Yesterday, UK and Ireland Spill Association held a Knowledge Base webinar on Aerial Surveillance and Drone. It emphasised the increasing role that satellite and drone surveillance are playing in spill response incidents.
The spill off Los Angeles, California on 1 October and since has shown the important role they can play in detection, analysis, assisting responders and possible causation in these incidents. The image shows responders clearing globules of crude oil off Corona Del Mar Beach.
