The spill from a Syrian power station of the equivalent of 20m,000 barrels of oil that we reported at the start of the week is now threatening the shores of Northern Cyprus shores.
As a result, booms have been deployed across Cyprus most sensitive areas.
There is a chance that the winds may force the slick to the north.
