In September the UK and Ireland Spill Association released a consultation document to Corporate members of the Association and to Accredited Members of the International Spill Accreditation Scheme to seek their views on the development of clear career pathways for all in spill response.
The object of the consultation is to seek feedback and member views so that these new pathways may be introduced in 2023.
What we seek to produce is a clear pathway for:
Marine Spill and Pollution Response
Inland Spill and Pollution Response
Consultancy to Support the Other Pathways
Part of this will involve independent certification issued by the Institution of Environmental Sciences for:
Registered Environmental Technician
Registered Environmental Practitioner
Chartered Environmentalist
Chartered Scientist
